It comes in waves, the feeling. You know the one where your heart is in your throat and your teeth are in your lip and everything about you is nothing but a tremble. There's peace in the upheaval, calm in the lightening... love in the tragedy. It's an addiction that's suicide to walk away from, but rushed martyrdom to keep ahold of. It's dissolving at night to the steel guitar in country music and waking up to every pop-punk, 4-chord that's ever made your veins pulsate. Howling at the Moon -poem-

I wanna be that girl again, The one bursting at the seams with words. But I'm not. Maybe they won't necessarily make any sense, And they'll probably be more foolish than they will wise, But I miss the feel of letters in my veins. I miss you. My wit doesn't taste the same without you. The flavor of contentment has warped into contempt With a few easy breaths. I don't know how to let my emotions bleed out, anymore. I don't know how to funnel everything I have into something that echoes Of an era where productivity in literature wasn't just a dream. I'm sorry but I just can't understand why this void has to suddenly occupy the spot in my heart where your words used to be. It's a confusing emotion, and proves to me that my paramount devotion never faltered in the name of My Never, as I had once feared. You were fantastic, my Dear. So, you may be wondering how I've been. Well, I've been FANTASTIC (: I've taken to reading A LOT, at least books.
