Let's stop time.
Let's steal eternity and hold it in our grasp.
This moment,
I wish it would last forever,

if anybody could do it

Love and Other Metaphors
I have started journals with
“I met someone”, decorated in tears,
ersatz heartbreak the colour of blue
painted his eyes in Van Gogh starry nights
and chased highs to forget the blows.
I have tasted champagne on his lips,
strawberry tart and regret bitter,
strange emptiness that spreads
through all the crevices he touched
and all the un-nameable places
where Sadness has parked.
I have started poems with “I think I’m in love”,
spelt with flowery language and rhyming couplets,
pantomiming at relationships, flourished
and embellished by checklists, one, two, three,
fall.

if i could invent words
i would like to create a word
for what one feels
when they realize:
if we were birds, the only cage
we would be in
are the ones
we create ourselves. how many times
have our wings
been clipped
by our own hands
alone. christ, i'm sorry.
dear past self:
i apologize
for trying to define you;
for definition
is the metaphorical cage
to change. the only limit
the sky has
is how far
we can see.

Well, this was just something I jotted down really quickly because I felt like writing. I like the whimsy of it, and I have this image in my head of these two people, standing outside, and this girl gets this wild idea. Haha I don't know if y'all could tell or not but it's a sort of unorthodox proposal too, that's just not said exactly. 
How about this, you tell me what you pictured when you read this. What story went along with it, what did the people look like... how did it end? And if you read this and can't answer any of these questions, then I did not do my job as a writer, and I seriously need to fix that. ^^ Oh, and thanks to my muse. This one's for you too.

Best lines. My favourites anyway. Needless to say I thought it was amazing, but at this point I may be considered a biased party... Oh well ^^
What I pictured when I read this was a couple (man and woman) walking along a beach (to a lake) in a forest. Its night but the moon is full and bright and the stars are out. It's their perfect moment and they want it to last forever. They've been hurt before but have come to realize that if you let go of your worries and fears and self doubts, the ones that eat at you and tell you that you're not good enough and you wont make it, and if you just let it all go and live for the moment, that the voices that tell you that you'll fail can't win. Live in the moment, give your heart freely, and you can watch your love soar into something completely knew. And both of them have become determined to do just that.
